China: the long march towards capitalism

Perhaps the origin of the steady rise of China to podium global economy, which already ranks second, it can be fixed, somewhat arbitrarily, at the trial called "Gang of Four" senior Communist Party leaders (including the last woman M ao Tse Tung ) in 1981, and subsequent conviction.

They were the architects of the Cultural Revolution launched by the supreme leader himself in 1966, possibly the most radical attempt to establish knows the history of communism, leading to the end of the model between Lenin Smudge 1917 and 1924.

If it were true that every revolution is torn between nation-building and international projection of its ideology, China complies with the axiom of the triumph of the nationalist trend, like its predecessors, the French and Russian.

The factional struggle in the upper echelons of the party between 1968 and 1976 (death of Mao), is settled with the triumph of the sector, where the 90 and the hand of Den Xiao Ping , he paved the way for foreign investment, encouraged the pair to a market economy in the vast geographical territory, in an extremely realistic and accurate reading of the possible evolution of the global economy.

The rapid growth averaging 10% annually over the past three decades, is based on two factors. The first is the mass of cheap labor available from the millions of peasants who migrated to the big industrial cities. Second, the relentless control of the state apparatus and the party, which allowed and helps maintain the social discipline despite draconian working conditions prevalent in Chinese factories. When a delegation of western union asked its local peers - all party members - because they tolerate this situation, the response was that the effort of the working class was on strengthening the national project of their country.

Some development theorists argue that the industrialization of a nation requires a strong initial sacrifice of the population, something we can intermarry with the concept of "primitive accumulation" of Marx. In particular, was the immense labor available at low cost, according to international standards, which enabled the leap that positions China as a first-rate power in the global.

Apparently these extreme conditions would be starting to mutate, as it would for the first time beginning to take into account wage claims, and to tolerate a degree of autonomy of the union movement. This may be related to the current stage of capitalism: the crisis triggered by subprime mortgages "threatens to" amesetarse "and become a time of economic depression - with ups and downs - a phenomenon similar to that of the 30s century XX. The demands of protection to the economy and local labor are felt in major Western developed economies. Customs barriers, physical (walls and barbed wire against immigration) and increasing xenophobia are your symptoms.

address PC seems to have taken note of this. Bowing somewhat to the domestic market, strengthening domestic demand, when international-reduction may be a move to two bands that sustains growth and decompress large social tensions generated by accelerated capitalist modernization.
